Brighton's favourite sleaze-punks Strange Cages return with a doomy new single and an excellent video to match. 'False Prophet Death Waltz' sees the trio exploring their heavier side as singer/guitarist Charlie McConnochie growls his way through the hypnotic verses before reverting back to a garage-rock-inspired earworm of a vocal hook. Psychedelic guitars, swirling organs and an unshakeable rhythm section form the foundation of the track, penning it as one of the band's most accomplished offerings to date. Nodding to King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard's epic Nonagon Infinity video series, in which the band don capes and rock out surrounded by ancient ruins, the video for 'False Prophet Death Waltz' was directed by Todd McConnochie and sees Strange Cages participating in similar ritualistic activities.
